Aggressive and impolite. Much like Idaho and most of the other wide open Western states, no one drives the speed limit, partly because there seems to be very little law enforcement presence.
The very extensive highways seem well maintained, but city roads are full of potholes. The Edmonton Valley Zoo parking lot was a big gravel mess.
My wife has noticed a lack of friendliness; smile at people at the malls or in shops, and the response is not at all like Idaho. It appears that the rape rate here is pretty high.
